Leeds-based fresh foods firm Affinity Food Holdings has received backing from R Capital.
The deal, which has ensured 125 jobs for those at the Yorkshire company, involved the work of Dickinson Dees.
Alistair Scott-Somers, corporate lawyer at Dickinson Dees’ York office, commented: "This was an exceptionally quick and satisfying deal. We began work on a Thursday and had the whole deal closed by the Monday."
He noted that a full-strength team, led by corporate partner Nigel Williams, was used to ensure the success of the deal with a lot of resources.
Mr Somers explained that Dickinson Dees advised the Affinity shareholders on R Capital's offer, while also giving advice on the firm's continuing lending from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
R Capital is a private investment firm that aims to provide both growth and turnaround for businesses located in the UK and in Europe.
It has more than 70 million euros (£55.17 million) in funds.
