A Leeds hotel, boasting a restaurant and 26 individually designed en-suite letting bedrooms, has been bought out of administration by leisure entrepreneur Gordon Jowett.
He plans to modernise Haley's Hotel, which he bought through specialist hotel agents Colliers Robert Barry acting on behalf of administrators Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery.
Mr Jowett also owns Corn Mill Lodge Hotel in Pudsey.
The entrepreneur said: "Haley's is well known to me and I firmly believe that with the right level of management and investment, it can earn back its reputation for high quality accommodation and cuisine.
"The hotel is located just outside Leeds city centre and benefits from the cricket and university graduation trade in the summer. It has huge potential and complements my other hotel in Pudsey extremely well."
Colliers Robert Barry was seeking offers of more than £1.25 million freehold.
