Hull building celebrates enterprise

A university in Yorkshire is celebrating National Enterprise Week by highlighting the strengths of a specially designed building.
The recently-opened Enterprise Centre at the University of Hull is designed to give start-up firms entry into the industry with its state-of-the-art work facilities and support from experts across the educational body's campus.
Last month saw the first start-ups make their way into the building and the university claimed they are settling well into their surroundings.
"Those who have moved in already say the dynamic atmosphere and first-rate support are invaluable to developing their business," commented Bill Walker, director of the university's Knowledge Exchange.
As well as Wi-Fi and videoconferencing capabilities, the centre offers "a New York-style 'ideas attic'" and is not only open to University of Hull graduates.
The institution's Knowledge Exchange looks to put start-up businesses in contact with the expertise they require in a number of different sectors, including engineering and the environment.
