Hull-based 3G Food Service & Seafood Solutions has outlined plans to revamp its services after a management buyout last month.
The company has set up its own national distribution centre in Hull and is introducing a host of upgrades to its logistics planning, vehicle tracking system and delivery fleet.
Already, its customer service centre has been relocated to the headquarters with an improved IT system in place to respond to client requirements at a faster rate.
3G managing director Ben Smales led the buyout of the seafood specialist from its parent company The Smales Group.
Mr Smales explained: "Our strategy is to provide a market-leading, wholesale product sourcing and delivery service to our highly-valued independent customers and to work with like-minded, food focused national operators who require a consolidated tailored supply chain but whose current centralised distribution does not provide sufficient flexibility or meet desired service levels."
The firm works with brands including Jamie's Italian, La Tasca, Wagamama, Gondola and P&O Ferries.
Mr Smales added that the firm's continued focus would be on providing better service to all its clients.
