Vp acquires Brighton firm

A Yorkshire company has bought a firm in Brighton for a fee of £1.1 million.
Vp, an equipment hire group in Harrogate, has made the acquisition of Power Tool Supplies (PTS) through its subsidiary Hire Station.
The Brighton-based company generated revenues of £2.3 million and showed £400,000 profit before tax in the year up to March 31st.
Jeremy Pilkington, chairman of Vp, stated: "PTS has been serving the Brighton area since 1983 and provides Hire Station with a high quality addition to its branch network."
Vp has 50 years of experience in the industry and claimed to be "renowned and respected for its technical excellence".
Hire Station is dedicated to supplying tools quickly and has 87 branches located over the country.
The company said it offers "highly competitive rates and a service which is second to none" and bases itself on the concept of flexibility to serve each customer's individual needs.
