Multidicta Translations, a Leeds-based translation firm has been bought by search engine optimisation (SEO) specialists WebCertain for an undisclosed fee.
The Leeds firm offers translation, interpreting and multilingual typesetting services and can handle over 140 languages.
Webcertain boasts a turnover of around £5 million and has offices in Yorkshire, London and Oslo and has already worked with Multidicta for three years.
This is its first acquisition move and WebCertain now says it is seeking other opportunities in its field.
Commenting on the deal, founder of WebCertain Andy Atkins-Kruger said: "We believe that this latest move to create a team that encompasses the skills of both a professional SEO and a professional translator is the logical step forward to providing more effective SEO and localisation for multinational clients."
This week saw further activity in the high-tech mergers and acquisitions sector, with the news that AT Communictions is to offload its distribution company Rocom to Nimans Holdings for £12.45 million.
